Invisalign Treatment

At Manchester Dental, we are happy to offer Invisalign® clear aligners to our patients. Invisalign® uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. You’ll wear each set of aligners for 1-2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move–little by little, week by week–until they have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.

You will visit with us every 4-6 weeks during this process to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time will vary depending on your needs but averages between 9 – 18 months. The average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30 but again will vary from case to case.

To find out whether you are a good candidate for Invisalign® treatment our team will start by evaluating your jaw, bite, and current position of your teeth. Invisalign treatment can treat many cases often including gapped teeth, crowded teeth, overbite, underbite, and crossbite.

While traditional braces often take upwards of two years to be fully effective, Invisalign treatment is usually completed in 12-18 months.
